First of all, a big thanks to Andy for the new & improved website.. he thinks that the front page isn’t as good as it could be, so please take the time to write in & tell him just how wrong he is.

I hope some of you can also spend some time to look through it. There is a lot of information in their but your investment may be rewarded when it comes to working out just what the hell I am going on about during the shows!!!

 So, what’s the dope…

Case Hardin is currently trying to introduce a new member to her fold.. Ian Cadge is going try some keyboards/ sounds/ vibes & another guitar if required.

Del & I met up with him last night at Electric Monk (..our studio) & we worked up a new song called ‘A Day at the Races’ (… any one who thought of the record by Queen before they thought of The Marx Brothers when reading the title, log off now!). Paul & Andy haven’t even heard this song yet but I can already hear where it is going to go.

Following that we took the new boy out & got him hammered on Stella…. I think everything is going to work out fine with young Ian!!

Aside from that we have a fairly busy couple of months coming up. The gigs page & e- mail blasts will keep you abreast of all things live. The all day event at South Hill Park sounds cool. Unfortunately Paul can’t be there, but we are looking to do a split set, Del & I then the full band, perhaps with Cadge on bass (if he remembers saying he could last night). Early days yet, I will give the set up some thought. Hope to see some of you there.

Also hot off the press is our new EP. It is culled from two live performances last year. Three new songs & a live version of ‘Film the Sky’ by the full band are joined by a couple of acoustic performances by Del & I. All in all five new songs. You lucky people. Head on over to the shop for more details. We have come up with a money saving package on anyone who wants to buy ‘Case Hardin Live’ together with our debut EP. It really does show the other side of our sound.. organic, live, loud & … well just go & buy it to find out.

Anyway.. enough of this for now. I will update this journal as often as I feel I have something relevant to say. For now, have a look around & write in with any opinions you hold on it or any other aspect of Case’s life, but be careful, she is a sensitive soul with a fragile ego.

This weeks recommends are a record by Ashtray Hearts called Old Numbers.. makes being depressed a beautiful thing & next week the new Thea Gilmore album, ‘Avalanche’ comes out… looking forward to that.

 Be lucky

 Pete
